Listening to the Lake CD

By Marie Zhuikov

From the squeaking of sea lampreys to the throb of a research vessel engine, this audio CD of a radio show series brings the lake within earshot no matter where you are. The shows, which aired on KUMD in 2005, offer over an hour of science-based information about Lake Superior environmental issues. Each program features a weather synopsis followed by interviews with topic experts. The programs focus on beach bacteria, rip currents, harbor corrosion, trout, and lamprey.
