It is Very Unlikely that You will get a Parasite by Eating Fish

The average American eats approximately 16 pounds of seafood each year. Even so, only 10 tapeworm and 14 Anisakis infections were reported in the U.S. from 1973-2006. Fish and other seafood are major sources of healthful omega-3 fats and are rich in nutrients, high in protein, and low in saturated fat. Bon appetit!
