Aquatic science experts give listeners a 5-minute tutorial on the latest research in their particular domain each Wednesday morning at 7:45 a.m., when Minnesota Sea Grant's new radio series, Catching Up with Aquatic Science airs on KUMD radio (103.3 FM).
Produced on the campus of the University of Minnesota Duluth, the series has covered such topics as Archaea (the mystery microbe), carbon and bacteria, large lakes and climate, fish farming in Minnesota, aquatic invasive species, endocrine disrupter chemicals, storm water management, and Lake Superior food webs and fish diets.
Sea Grant's host, Judy Zomerfelt, brings university research on aquatic systems and coastal communities to those who care most about Minnesota's water resources.
