Tapping the strength of new technology, the site implements a shopping cart and credit card processing system, and RSS feeds to keep the public, reporters, researchers, and educators abreast of breaking news concerning Minnesota Sea Grant.

Over 700,000 computer users stopped at the Sea Grant site last year to view more than 1.8 million pages. Although the vast majority originated from the United States, people from 140 other countries accessed Minnesota Sea Grant by way of the Internet last year. Why are people flocking to this site?
