Sea Grant Grad Students Do it Again

Two Sea Grant-funded graduate students at the University of Minnesota have earned honors from the American Fisheries Society, Minnesota Chapter, during its annual meeting earlier this year in St. Cloud. Dalma Martinovic (left) won the best poster award for, "Waterborne estrogens found in St. Paul sewage effluent suppress competitive behavior and reproductive success of male fathead minnows."
Julie Zimmerman (right) won the best paper award for, "Stream enclosure effects on drifting invertebrates and fish growth: Do enclosure experiments produce biased results?" Minnesota Sea Grant sponsored the best paper award, and presented Zimmerman with $250.
