Guide to Great Lakes Fishery Available

A booklet and poster, both named, Life of the Lakes: A Guide to the Great Lakes Fishery, are now available from Sea Grant. The 56-page booklet and color poster focus on the science, history, and management of the Great Lakes fisheries. Educators, natural resource managers, and anyone interested in the Great Lakes will find these items produced by Michigan Sea Grant valuable.

The Life of the Lakes booklet features color illustrations, a three-page ecosystem diagram, and focuses on the economic, environmental and historical issues related to the fisheries of the Great Lakes. Cost is $12. The poster (20 x 28 inches) is suitable for framing or classroom use. It features an ecosystem diagram on the front and a Great Lakes Basin map on the back, combined with key fisheries information and facts about native, non-native, and invasive species in the Great Lakes. The poster costs $7.50.
