by Sharon Moen
Would you write an essay for $100? For $75? For $25? We're expecting some of Minnesota's high school students will by April 22nd (Earth Day).
Minnesota Sea Grant has partnered with St. Paul's Pioneer Press Newspapers in Education Program to offer a statewide essay contest for high school students. We're looking for original essays that propose a creative, realistic, and environmentally-sound plan for managing an aquatic invasive species in the Great Lakes. Essays of 1,000 words or less will be judged on creativity and logical development of the topic, accuracy, clarity, and conciseness.
Cash prizes will go to three teens who write winning essays and their compositions will be published in the Seiche and posted to Minnesota Sea Grant's Web site.
