Instructional Manual Available for Baitfish Harvesters and Fish Farmers

This course manual was adapted from a program developed by the National Seafood HACCP Alliance for Seafood Safety Training and Education. ANS-HACCP: Aquatic Nuisance Species-Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point Training Curriculum is written especially for wild baitfish harvesters and fish farmers (both private and public) who raise baitfish or fish for stocking into public and private waters. The manual identifies pathways through which aquatic nuisance species and/or non-target aquatic species could enter aquaculture and baitfish operations. It also identifies methods to prevent accidental transfer of these species to new areas.

The 80-page manual is designed to accompany HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) workshops. Watch the Seiche for any upcoming workshops!
