It’s almost like having an aquarium! A new poster produced by Wisconsin Sea Grant features 35 illustrations of Great Lakes Fishes by Joseph Tomelleri. Tomelleri, who works with live fish as much as possible, is known for the detail and accuracy of his illustrations. Tomelleri spent between 12 and 50 hours drawing each fish, making sure anatomical features such as scale and fin ray counts were exact and that colors were as realistic as possible. This vivid poster includes the common and Latin names for each fish. Great Lakes Fishes is printed on 26.5-by-38.5-inch heavyweight paper and is available for $5 from Sea Grant programs in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois-Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
