	<description>10/16/09: This workshop will train educators to fully utilize the capacity of the 3 models of the Watershed Game: stream/watershed, the lake model, and a river model (focusing on larger river areas). The Watershed Game is an interactive tool developed to help individuals understand the impact that land use decisions have on water and natural resources, build their awareness of best management practices (BMPs), and become more familiar with methods to achieve clean water. The Northland NEMO Program created the Watershed Game through a collaborative partnership and education initiative.

A special screening of the IMAX movie Mysteries of the Great Lakes will start at 5 PM at the Omnimax Theatre in Duluth. Free tickets to the screenings will be given away to the first 125 people who respond online to the question: How do you think a changing climate will impact the Great Lakes?

Anniversary of the opening of the modern St. Lawrence Seaway, which allowed the British-flagged Ramon de Larrinaga to arrive in the Twin Ports on May 3,1959. Fifty years later, almost to the minute, the 86-ft. tug Edward H. carrying the banner "Ramon de Larrinaga" will cruise under the Aerial Lift Bridge. Join the Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center in Duluth's Canal Park at 1:00 p.m. on May 3, 2009 to enjoy the re-enactment.
