Hosted by the 1854 Treaty Authority, these approximately 2-hour family programs are open to public.

Manoominike 101 Workshops are designed to increase the knowledge of wild rice biology and management in the 1854 Ceded Territory. Participants will review regulations and equipment needed to harvest, as well as ricing safety precautions. Join the 1854 Treaty Authority and learn about this local food staple and culturally significant resource.

The workshops will include short, 20-30 minute themed discussions or demonstrations on manoomin biology, canoeing and safety, harvest tools and regulations, processing, ceded territory management, and treaty talk.

The workshops are free and open to the public.
