A Workshop for Educators: Small Life from a Great Lake

What: Workshop participants will learn about algal ecology and harmful algal blooms, and receive in-depth training on the Cyanoscope kit (cyanos.org), including how to use the equipment and report their findings. Participants will engage in a plankton building activity and free teaching resources will be available. Participants may order lunch from Erberts and Gerberts (which will be delivered) or bring their own lunch. Cyanoscope kits provided by the U.S. EPA and University of Minnesota Sea Grant College Program.

Who: Teachers (grades 4-12), pre-service teachers, non-formal and informal educators.
