Mills Fleet Farm Kids' Fishing Appreciation Day

Mills Fleet Farm hosts the Kids' Fishing Appreciation Day on Saturday, July 11, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at store locations throughout Minnesota. The event teaches kids to appreciate and learn basic fishing skills, such as casting, knot tying, fish identification, safety, and live bait use.

Representatives from Minnesota Sea Grant, DNR AIS, Law Enforcement, and Watercraft Inspection Programs, Master Naturalists, Wildlife Forever, lake associations and others will co-host Stop Aquatic Hitchhikers!TM booths to help educate anglers, young and old, about the problems caused by aquatic invasive species such as Eurasian watermilfoil and zebra mussels. Free educational materials will be distributed.
