Upper Midwest Invasive Species Conference

Hosted by the Invasive Plants Association of Wisconsin, Midwest Invasive Plant Network, Minnesota Invasive Species Advisory Council, and Wisconsin Invasive Species Council, the event is feature over 150 experts presenting cutting-edge research to improve management of terrestrial and aquatic invasive species. It is expected to draw over 600 people from at least six states. Minnesota Sea Grant is a co-sponsor along with a dozen others.

Doug Jensen, Marte Kitson, and Dale Bergeron will give presentations. Sea Grant will also host a Stop Aquatic Hitchhikers!TM booth to teach visitors about what they can do prevent the spread of AIS and will feature resources produced by campaign partners. They will also co-lead with the Minnesota DNR a watercraft inspection training workshop and field trip.
