The Minnesota Conference on Science Education (MnCOSE) brings Minnesota science educators together to network and collaborate. Keynote speakers include Dr. Eric Jolly, the president of the Science Museum of Minnesota, and Dr. Bill Robertson, author of the NSTA best-selling "Stop Faking It!" series.
Cindy Hagley, Minnesota Sea Grant Environmental Extension Educator, will lead a workshop on incorporating Great Lakes data into curricula on Saturday from 9 a.m. - noon. Read about Teaching with Great Lakes Data - Catch the Wave! at www.mnsta.org/2012_MnCOSE_Saturday_Events.html.
Also at the conference, Sea Grant's Marte Kitson will be talking about aquatic invasive species while Sea Grant researcher Dr. Liz Minor will reveal what scientists are discovering about the chemistry of Lake Superior. Be sure to stop by the Sea Grant booth!
