Bergeron Becomes Vice-Chair of Harbor Technical Advisory Committee

Dale Bergeron, Minnesota Sea Grant’s Maritime Extension Educator, was recently elected as vice-chair to the Harbor Technical Advisory Committee (HTAC). Bergeron will become the chair of HTAC midway through this four-year appointment.

HTAC addresses challenges and opportunities in the Duluth-Superior Harbor while promoting the harbor’s economic and environmental importance to the community. Current focuses include managing dredged material, environmental restoration and enhancement, and land use development in the St. Louis River Estuary. HTAC is composed of government, industry, academia, and public representatives from both Wisconsin and Minnesota. They advise the Duluth-Superior Metropolitan Interstate Council.
