June 21-24, 2010
Doubletree Hotel, Minneapolis, Minn.

Controlling invasive fish with genetically manipulated organisms promises to be more effective and targeted than current control methods. This symposium will address the potential of genetic biocontrol and the risks associated with it in its use against invasive finfish. It is designed for international scientists who specialize in fields such as fish genetics, biotechnology, risk assessment science, and ecology; and professionals who work to manage invasive fish. This symposium will produce concrete recommendations and peer -reviewed proceedings.
