Gunderson is the chair elect of the Assembly of Sea Grant Extension Program Leaders, which facilitates interaction among the Sea Grant extension programs and beyond the Sea Grant network. He also presented an overview of regional baitfish aquaculture research progress at the annual meeting of the North Central Regional Aquaculture Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

Gunderson gave an "Invasive Species-Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point" training workshop at the Minnesota Invasive Species Conference 2008, which was held at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center in October. Gunderson also gave the poster, "Invasive Species-HACCP: A Preventative System to Control the Spread of Terrestrial and Aquatic Invasive Species," which was co-authored by Doug Jensen, aquatic invasive species program coordinator.

Gunderson presented, "Combined Outdoor and Indoor Aquaculture System for a Northern Baitfish -- Nocomis biguttatus," at Aquaculture America 2008 in Orlando, Fl., during February.

Gunderson presented a baitfish aquaculture status report at the annual meeting of the North Central Regional Aquaculture Center in Indianapolis, Ind., during February.
