Jensen co-chaired the Minnesota Invasive Species Conference 2008, which was held at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center in October. He also gave the conference welcome address, gave the workshop "Prevention and Treatment of Aquatic Invasive Species" with Chip Welling and Jay Rendall of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, gave a plenary session welcome address, and gave three presentations: "Habitattitude – Affecting Public Behavior to Prevent the Release of Aquatic Invasive Species," "Stop Aquatic Hitchhikers Threat Campaign: Prevent Introduction of Aquatic Invasive Species" with Douglas Grann of Wildlife Forever and Nick Schmal with the USDA Forest Service, and "Minnesota as a Success Story in Aquatic Invasive Species Boater and Angler Education."
Jensen gave two presentations, "Address Aquatic Invasive Species Challenges Locally: Stop Aquatic Hitchhikers! and "Habitattitude," at the seminar, Aquatic Invasive Species: Protecting Our Lakes and Property Values, presented by the Becker County Coalition of Lake Associations and Becker County Master Gardeners at Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Detroit Lakes during August.
Jensen gave the joint presentation, "Stop Aquatic Hitchhikers Threats Campaign: Invasive Species Outreach to Hunters and Anglers," with Doug Grann, CEO of Wildlife Forever at the joint meeting of the Great Lakes and Mississippi River Basin Panels on Aquatic Nuisance Species, during June in Milwaukee, Wisc.
Jensen gave the presentation, "Minnesota Aquatic Invasive Species: Threats and Opportunities," at a meeting of the United Northern Sportsman in Duluth, during May.
